Don’t Let Daddy Know Music is proud to today welcome Filium into the DLDK Family, with the launch of the producer’s new collaboration ‘A Fighter’, alongside label head honcho, Sem Vox. Having previously remixed Marlus’ ‘Supersonic’, the track represents Filium (real name Filippo Spano)’s debut on the label, and looks set to cause serious damage across dancefloors this year, thanks to his team-up with legendary Dutch producer, Sem Vox.
With Sem’s previous single ‘ID8’ – a collaboration with Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman – rapidly soaring past 3 million Spotify streams, the ‘Don’t Let Daddy Know’ founder looks to have struck gold again with this one, which follows on from his recent anthem ‘A New Life’, a massive feel-good tribute to the post-pandemic world. The track follows support from Martin Garrix, Diplo, and Afrojack, as well as his collaboration with Third Party on Armin van Buuren’s ‘Armada’ label.
Blessed with the dynamic progressive-tinged hook we’ve come to expect from Sem Vox, the euphoric single pairs spacious chords with a high-energy melody. “We really wanted to make a track with a huge bassline that could make your body move and dance in line with the groove,” added Filium. “We really needed to create a strong drop with a melody that could create a powerful atmosphere and with a breakdown that will bring people back down again before the power of the second drop!”
