This year saw the duo claiming the prestigious #2 slot in DJ Mags Top 100 Poll, voted for by fans world wide, no accolade is regarded higher than this with in the scene. Whether wreaking havoc across the United States, Europe, Asia, South America or Australia, ripping up the music charts with immense original tracks, unbelievable collaborations and huge remix cuts from the A-list elite, or playing at the biggest international music festivals, the award-winning brotherly duo have become leading lights in the new wave of international dance music currently taking the planet by storm. Their electrifying live combination of DJ sets and crowd-busting MCing has propelled them towards party notoriety. Having been on the road since the mid-2000s and as each year has progressed, so their profile has become ever more significant.
When a house music legend like Roger Sanchez names his Breakthrough DJ/Producer of 2009 (DJ MAG), it’s time to sit up and take notice – meet Abel Ramos.
Born in February 1973 and raised in Madrid, Abel started DJing at a local club, aged just 15, playing anything that was synth-driven from Human League to Nitzer Ebb or Acid House.
It didn’t take long for Abel to establish himself as one of Spain’s most talented DJs, catching the ears of thousands along the way and winning awards such as Best National DJ from Spain’s answer to Mixmag, ‘Deejay Magazine’, gaining top gigs for the likes of Sensation, Rock In Rio, Global Gathering, and frequenting places as far afield as Australia. Abel has also established his SOLO event, which now attracts over 5000 people to the yearly show.
After confidently bursting onto the scene in 2006, Spanish producer Albert Neve firmly cemented his reputation as one of the leading lights of the electronic music scene in his native country with a string of outstanding solo releases, remixes and collaborations with well-known artists worldwide.
Nowadays Albert Neve is a renown DJ and producer thanks to the support of heavy weight names in the international scene like David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Armin van Buuren, Afrojack, Hardwell, Sander van Doorn, Laidback Luke and Nicky Romero, amongst others. Barcelona-born Albert started his brilliant trajectory at the age of 15 and soon established himself as a producer with a surprisingly natural talent and maturity well beyond his age. Proof of that is he managed to excel in his musical career while studying IT engineering, but it wasn’t long until he decided to follow his instinct and apply himself 100% into his real passion: music. His excellent early releases were only a hint of the levels of success he would experience just a few years later.
He is known for working with numerous other artists from different music styles including Armin Van Buuren, Ricky Martin, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Yandel, Robbie Rivera, Inna, Leah Labelle and many more. He has released on some of the world’s biggest record labels including Armada Music, Ultra Music, Dirty Dutch, Big Beat Records, In Charge, Sony Music and A State of Trance. In 2015 he signed with Ultra Music.
Brian Cross is also the creator of POPSTAR festival in Amnesia Ibiza featuring artists like Hardwell, Avicii, Cedric Gervais and global pop icons including Pitbull, Nelly Furtado, Inna, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and many more. In 2017 Brian Cross performed for the third time on Tomorrowland in Belgium and returned to Amnesia Ibiza as weekly guest on the new event Black Out which hosted guests like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hardwell, Nicky Romero and many more.
